The Enterprise Process Specialist provides subject matter expertise on all activities supporting the organizational business process lifecycle (modeling, implementation, execution, monitoring and optimization).

Job Relationships

  • Reports to the IT Digital Transformation Mgr
  • Principal Responsibilities
  • Responsible for documenting, analyzing, defining, and owning business and clinical processes at the enterprise level, including the definition of RACI charts, metrics and roadmap of key gaps and improvement areas.
  • Serve as the business process lifecycle subject matter expert throughout and across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain the Enterprise Process Library and work closely with the Business/Clinical Analysts or SME’s to review and refine business/clinical process workflows identifying areas of possible optimization and automation.
  • Provide guidance to project teams in ensuring that proposed applications, equipment, or processes are in alignment with existing workflows.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives. Execute on continuous process improvements through metrics monitoring and scorecard reporting.
  • Educate business users responsible for managing and operating business processes.
  • Responsible for quality and adherence to standards and best practices of BPMN 2.0 standards. Responsible for ensuring process compliance throughout the enterprise.
  • Assist in strategic planning and process improvement prioritization events for the organization.
  • Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Math, Finance, Nursing, or related field required.
  • Minimum 1 -2 years of experience in business process improvement and/or 2-3 years project management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience applying the expertise of at least one key business process improvement methodology to drive process improvements (Lean, Six Sigma - Green Belt/Black Belt)
  • Experience with Visio and other Office 365 applications.
  • Experience leading small teams.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • BPM certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Inherent ability to provide close attention to details.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage and balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Excellent structured problem-solving skills.

Working Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Team oriented environment utilizing collaboration with peers.
  • Sitting and/or standing for long periods/computer work.
