Job Description:
- Farrowing care including cross fostering, split nursing, piglet treatments, creep feeding, sow treatments, farrowing assistance, etc.
- Sow and piglet vaccinations
- Lactation feeding
- Piglet processing
- Weaning and weighing of litters
- Washing in sows/gilts to farrowing crates
- Management of farrowing room environment
- Basic facility maintenance
- Cleaning and sanitation of facility
- 45 hours/week work schedule including a weekend rotation
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Team player
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to identify sick or disadvantaged pigs
- Basic facility maintenance skills
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
