Springer Dental Care of Elkhart is looking for an energetic, upbeat, positive personality to join our growing practice as a Front Office Receptionist! We are a dental practice working four days a week, Monday through Thursday. Ideal candidate would be highly motivated, hardworking, emotionally mature, organized, problem solver who has a team player mentality. Strong phone and computers skills a must. 2 Years’ experience within the dental field is a positive, but willing to train ideal candidate.
Position is responsible for performing general business office functions that may include some or all of the following: charge/capture over-the-counter payments and postings; insurance verification and eligibility; insurance pre-authorization/pre-certifications; counsel patients and families on insurance and payment issues prior to dental services being rendered. Additional responsibilities include: Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients using dental knowledge. Schedule patients, register patients, collect and post payments, prepare treatment estimates for review with patient, run, balance and close end of day reports and all other duties as assigned. Answers phone and provide information to callers; greet visitors/patients; schedules, verifies, and processes appointments; refers visitors/patients to appropriate person or department. Keep records of patient interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken. Determine charges for services rendered, collect payments, or arrange for billing.
