Position Summary:
The Women’s Services unit at Spring View Hospital, embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This is a 6-bed unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support. You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
The RN demonstrates professional development and clinical competency; utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s degree in nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation, Basic Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE required within 6 months of hire.
- ACLS is required within 12 months of hire.
License:
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky
