What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dietitian position at Spring Valley Post Acute?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Complete nutritional initial, quarterly, annual and significant change reviews on residents according to federal and state guidelines.
- Review monthly and weekly weights to determine those residents which have had a significant change.
- Complete nutritional reviews monthly on high risk residents (significant weight loss/ gain, pressure ulcer, hemodialysis, and tube fed).
- Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans in order to develop and implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling as needed.
- Attends and participates in care plan conferences, Quality Assurance, and other clinical meetings as directed.
- Consult with physicians and other health care personnel (Nurse Practitioners, Dialysis Dietitians, etc) to determine diet restrictions and nutritional needs of residents.
- Assist in coordination of nutrition care services with the Dietary Supervisor.
- Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards, as well as, state and federal regulations.
- Monitor food control systems such as food temperatures, portion control, preparation methods, garnishment and presentation of food in order to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.
- Inspect diet trays for conformance to physicians diet orders prior to delivery.
Requirements:
- Must have active RD license in good standing with CDR

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
