Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Golf Shop Attendant to join our team. This role is responsible for providing excellent service to golfers, managing retail sales, assisting with tee time check-ins, and maintaining an organized and welcoming golf shop environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and has an interest in golf or retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet golfers and guests in a professional and welcoming manner
- Check in players for tee times and manage daily tee sheet operations
- Process retail sales using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Assist customers with merchandise including apparel, equipment, and accessories
- Answer phone calls and assist with tee time reservations
- Keep the golf shop clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Restock merchandise and assist with product displays
- Provide basic information about course rules, rates, and upcoming events
- Coordinate with golf operations staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Customer service or retail experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of golf is reccomended, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs (merchandise, boxes, etc.)
