Adult Residential Facility (ARF) Administrator
Pay: $58,018.57–$68,850.32 per year
Reports To: Licensee / Owner
Location: In Person / South Los Angeles
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced ARF Administrator to oversee the daily operations of a licensed Adult Residential Facility in compliance with California Community Care Licensing (CCL), Title 22, Title 17, Regional Center requirements, and all applicable regulations.
The Administrator is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, facility operations, documentation, and emergency response. This is a leadership position requiring strong organizational skills, professionalism, and availability to support the facility when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a current California ARF Administrator Certification issued by Community Care Licensing.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a residential care or similar setting.
- Possess knowledge of Title 22, Title 17, and services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Have a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).
- Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification and required TB/HIV training.
- Pass all required background clearances.
- Maintain a valid California driver's license and auto insurance.
- Have strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
- Person-Centered Planning (PCP), Residential Specialist, and DSP I & II certifications are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all daily operations of the Adult Residential Facility.
- Ensure compliance with CCL, Regional Center, and all regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, train, schedule, evaluate, and support staff.
- Maintain resident files, employee records, medication documentation, and regulatory reports.
- Coordinate resident medical, dental, therapy, and specialty appointments.
- Oversee medication management and ensure staff follow all medication protocols.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop staff while conducting ongoing in-service training.
- Coordinate with Community Care Licensing, Regional Center, Social Services, and other agencies.
- Screen prospective residents and ensure appropriate placement.
- Oversee facility budgeting, operational records, purchasing, grocery management, and resident funds.
- Maintain digital calendars, schedules, appointments, and facility documentation.
- Submit weekly operational reports to the Owner.
- Develop and implement facility policies, procedures, and staff training programs.
- Ensure residents actively participate in community activities and individualized programming.
On-Call & Emergency Responsibilities
This position requires the Administrator to:
- Be available for on-call emergencies unless approved coverage is arranged.
- Respond promptly to staff communications.
- Respond to facility emergencies and be able to arrive within one hour when necessary.
- Ensure all incident reports and required regulatory notifications are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage, including arranging replacements or personally covering shifts when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a company-issued phone and remain accessible during on-call periods.
- Immediately report incidents affecting licensing, insurance, company vehicles, or legal status to the Owner.
- Assist in developing operational procedures and training staff on new policies.
- Promote a safe, compliant, and resident-centered environment.
Pay: $53,018.57 - $63,850.32 per year
