Activities Coordinator - Assisted Living
The Lakewood Courtyard, a Spring Oak Community is looking for a warm, energetic, and dependable Activities Coordinator to join our team.
This is a unique hybrid position that combines resident programming and transportation. You'll help residents stay active, engaged, and connected by leading activities, encouraging participation, and safely transporting residents to appointments and community outings.
\n- Assist with daily activities and resident engagement throughout the community.
- Encourage residents to attend and participate through room visits and friendly reminders.
- Support group activities so every resident feels included and successful.
- Lead simple small-group and one-on-one activities for residents who benefit from additional encouragement.
- Work with the Activities Director and Nursing team to identify residents who may benefit from additional engagement.
- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, and community outings using company vehicles.
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed.
- Help maintain transportation schedules and keep company vehicles clean and presentable.
- Support a positive, caring, and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Experience as an Activities Assistant, Activity Aide, CNA, Caregiver, Driver, or similar role in senior living, assisted living, memory care, healthcare, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience working with residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory loss, or other cognitive changes is preferred.
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License with a clean driving record and at least three years of safe driving experience.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable engaging residents one-on-one and in small groups.
- Friendly personality with strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with the Activities Director, Nursing team, and other community staff.
- Full-time or Part-time 9:30am-5:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
$18 - $18 an hour
