The Lakewood Courtyard, a Spring Oak Senior Living Community is looking for a warm, patient, and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team.
This position will support the Activities Department with daily programming throughout the community, with a focus on engaging residents who may have memory loss, dementia, or other cognitive changes and benefit from additional encouragement.

\n- Assist with daily activities and resident engagement throughout the community
- Encourage residents to attend and participate in programs through room visits and friendly reminders
- Provide support during group activities so residents feel included and successful
- Lead simple small-group or one-on-one programs for residents who benefit from a more personalized approach
- Work with the Activities Director and Nursing team to identify residents who may benefit from additional engagement
- Support a positive, caring, and welcoming environment for residents
- Experience as an Activities Assistant, Activity Aide, CNA, caregiver, or similar role in senior living, assisted living, or memory care is strongly preferred
- Experience working with residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory loss, or other cognitive changes preferred
- Dementia care certification preferred, such as Certified Dementia Practitioner, but not required
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable engaging residents one-on-one and in small groups
- Ability to work well with the Activities Director, Nursing team, and other community staff
- Monday-Thursday 12:30 pm-5:30 pm and Friday 10:00 am -3PM
