Key Responsibilities as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Patient Care: Deliver nursing care in accordance with residents' care plans and assist with daily living activities.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Health Monitoring: Assess and document residents’ health status, reporting any changes to the nursing team.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate resident care.
- Education: Provide education and support to residents and families regarding health management and wellness.
- Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for seniors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive problem-solver who can adapt to changing situations.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to collaboration.
- Valid (LPN) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Previous experience in a nursing role, preferably in assisted living or a similar setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
