Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the housekeeping department in our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial and floor care, as well as proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality sector. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction in our hotel or facility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for staff to follow.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.
  • Implement safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations within the housekeeping department.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of custodial practices, floor care techniques, and industrial cleaning methods.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality management or related fields are a plus.
