Summary
The Contract Administrator manages contracts and procurement activities for assigned product categories. This role supports sourcing strategies, negotiates with suppliers, maintains vendor relationships, and ensures supply needs are met. Works closely with internal teams and external partners to drive cost savings, process improvements, and strong supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product categories and sourcing strategies in partnership with the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and distributors.
- Review purchase data, benchmarking reports, and build "what-if" scenarios to identify best economic value.
- Oversee supplier relationships, service-level agreements, and assist in Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Lead procurement activities: spend analysis, contract review, bid evaluations, negotiations, rebates, and contract closeouts.
- Develop category strategies that support organizational goals and future growth.
- Provide financial analysis, cost models, and executive-level summaries and presentations.
- Identify operational and cost-reduction opportunities across departments.
- Review new product/technology requests and assess value.
- Maintain contract documentation and ensure compliance with sourcing processes.
- Update procurement policies and help improve category management processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Accounting, Contract Administration, Procurement, or related field. (HS Diploma/GED required.)
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in purchasing, contract management, and vendor negotiations (preferably in a large or multi-hospital environment).
- Strong financial analysis and negotiation background (required).
- ERP experience required; Oracle Cloud strongly preferred.
- Excel proficiency and contract/database system experience (healthcare preferred).
- Ability to think critically and work independently.
Preferred
- Healthcare/hospital procurement experience.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
