We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using proper aseptic techniques
- Collect, process, and label laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities and clinical procedures
- Maintain patient comfort and provide excellent patient service throughout procedures
- Follow laboratory procedures and safety protocols to ensure specimen integrity and safety
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records according to established guidelines
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of specimens to the laboratory
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to infection control standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings
- Strong knowledge of phlebotomy, venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and hospital or clinical environment experience preferred
- Excellent patient service skills with compassionate communication abilities
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and efficiently
- Prior experience working with patients in a healthcare setting is desirable
- Certification in phlebotomy or medical assisting is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
