What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Spring Grove Assisted Living?
Spring Grove Assisted Living is hiring for a part-time daytime cook for our 20-unit facility. We are a family owned business looking for a new member for our kitchen. Hours are from approximately 6:45 am - 2:15 pm and include every other weekend and holiday
Responsibilities
- Follow pre-planned menus for breakfast and lunch and cook entire meals for the number of residents who will be eating.
- Assist in food prep for the evening meal
- Ensure all cooking and sanitation rules are followed
- Wash dishes, put away
- Keep a clean kitchen, wash dishes, sanitize work areas
- Ensure all food and other items are cooked and stored properly
- Monitor stock and update manager with needed items
- Help serve the meals with assistance of other staff
Skills
- Prefer experience as cook
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to be a team player
- Ability to be flexible with meals
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
