Production Cook

Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking 1st Shift Production Cooks. We are offering great benefits, stable work shifts, and a clean/welcoming work environment.  Work where you matter!  Cooks are responsible for cooking and preparing ingredients for production.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Adheres to common safety practices and rules: including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.
2. Cook and prepare ingredients for production as per work order instructions.
3. Complete paperwork and record data on HCAAP forms.
4. Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs. of ingredients to platform height.
5. Properly dispose of waste materials.
6. Report any product, questionable in quality, to the Supervisor and/or Quality Assurance person immediately.
7. Always keep all areas clean and orderly.
8. Adheres to plant hygiene regulations to ensure high product integrity.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by Leadperson or Business Unit Manager.

While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.).  Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Training and or experiences related to the job
• Must understand the technology of assigned equipment. manufacturing etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
