General laborers are responsible for performing production, sanitation, and other general duties as assigned in accordance with established safety and quality standards.

• Is aware of and complies with all GMP and OSHA requirements to perform the essential functions of the job safely.
• Performs basic duties such as placing labels on lids, placing lids on containers, removing containers from production lines, ensure containers are the correct size, reading scales, weigh out product, and placing them on racks. 
• Inspects and removes defects or any extraneous materials from product.
• Reports any mechanical or safety problems.
• Adheres to all safety practices, including wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Keeps work area clean by sweeping, shoveling, dumping, or disposing of various materials.
• Adheres to all plant hygiene standards to ensure product integrity.
• Responsible for employee safety, food safety, legality, and quality within the scope of the job’s responsibilities.
• Must have a good attendance record

While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.).  Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported.
