What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Assistant position at Spring Garden Waldorf School?
Spring Garden Waldorf School is seeking an early childhood assistant teacher to work with support classes serving children from the ages of 3-6 years.
We are seeking a professional who shows initiative, self-development, and carries an active interest in life. Waldorf teachers are always learning and researching in preparation to create a developmentally appropriate, multi-sensory and challenging learning environment that addresses the whole child-cognitively, socially and creatively. This midday position involves setting up for rest time for multiple classrooms, student supervision outdoors, and other cleaning and organizational tasks to support the early childhood program.
Hours for this part-time hourly position are approximately 11:30a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mon-Fri.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a Waldorf school. Training and certification are supported through the school. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Interested candidates should send a resume, cover letter, and three letters of reference to learn@sgws.org by August 15th.
