Camp Counselor/Assistant Job Responsibilities:
Assists and helps the lead teacher.
Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants.
Supervises campers and ensures their safety, general well-being, and cleanliness of the site.
Assists in leading various small and large group activities.
Ensures accurate program records are maintained, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
Records and tracks camper’s dietary restrictions/allergies and ensures that the meals/snacks are distributed to them.
Mediates any campers’ disputes.
Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, ensuring the whereabouts of charges at all times.
Working Hours:
Option 1: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Option 2: 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM
Compensation:
$20/hour
What We Are Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
Preferred certifications in CPR and First Aid.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
