Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly detail-oriented and organized Dental Office Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support within a dental office environment. This role involves managing patient interactions, helping patients with insurance benefits, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. Previous Dental experience is preferred.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain patient records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review.
- Perform insurance verification and assist with dental billing processes.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of care plans and coordinate patient services to enhance overall patient experience.
- Handle collections and follow up on outstanding payments as necessary.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing health information management tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, appointment reminders, and general inquiries while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate should be professional, optimistic and enthusiastic.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar platforms.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of administrative support.
