Field Safety Specialist (Full-Time, 100% Travel)
Reports to: Safety Manager
Pay Range: $70,000 to $100,000 DOE

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field Safety Specialist to support our operations by promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. This full-time, travel-based role involves conducting safety inspections, leading incident investigations, supporting jobsite teams with hazard prevention strategies, and delivering safety training. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a proven background in construction safety. Pay is DOE with per diem and a company vehicle provided. Expect 40–60 hours per week and up to 100% travel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Promote engagement with the company safety program and incident prevention efforts to improve employee involvement and reduce at risk behaviors
- Perform and document safety inspections and observations
- Support site leadership with incident investigations and take lead if worker injury is involved
- Work with project leadership to ensure proper safety equipment is available and in good working order
- Participate in tailgate and safety meetings to provide appropriate training and knowledge shares to improve understanding of hazards and risks
- Assist in the development of project safety plans and job hazard analysis
- Collaborate with safety team to update and continually improve the company Health and Safety manual
- Other duties as assigned
- Pay is DOE plus per diem. Full time travel with company provided vehicle.40-60 hours per week.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of construction safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willing and able to travel up to 100% of the time
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
- Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
- Ability to conduct training
- Ability to successfully complete required training, this may include HAZWOPER and/or H2S
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of federal safety regulations
- Have or ability to obtain OSHA 30 within 30 days
- Have or ability to obtain CPR/ First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques
- Travel is required
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers
- Must be on-call to address emergencies
