POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior HR Generalist is a critical member of the HR team responsible for delivering operational excellence across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding, while ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this role serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and is responsible for core HR processes, systems accuracy, and benefits administration with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused, with strong expertise in HR operations, compliance, and data integrity. This role partners cross-functionally and across departments to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant processes while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and driving execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and professional support while ensuring a positive employee experience
- Provide guidance on HR policies, processes, and programs, leveraging self-service tools and partnering with cross-functional teams such as Payroll, IT, and Finance as needed
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth, compliant, and consistent employee lifecycle experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits programs across the full lifecycle, including enrollments, changes, eligibility, and employee education, while responding to inquiries and escalating complex issues as needed
- Partner with internal teams, brokers, and external vendors to support accurate deductions, eligibility tracking, invoice review, and issue resolution
- Support open enrollment planning and execution, including system preparation, testing, employee communications, and post-event reconciliation
- Maintain and support accurate employee data across HR systems, ensuring data integrity through regular audits and reconciliation
- Support reporting and analytics by generating and validating HR data for compliance, audits, and operational insights
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, including support for employment verifications, audits, and required documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen the overall employee experience; contribute to the documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and workflows
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners on employee lifecycle initiatives
- Support cross-functional HR projects and initiatives, contributing to consistent, scalable, and high-quality HR operations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong generalist and HR operations focus
- Hands-on experience administering employee benefits programs across the full lifecycle, including enrollments, changes, employee support, and vendor coordination
- Experience administering a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life and disability, retirement, and voluntary benefits
- Working knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements, including ACA, COBRA, and ERISA
- Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee support, and HR data management
- Experience working in ADP Workforce Now across all modules
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including I-9 and E-Verify requirements
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy, auditing, and compliance experience
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of processes, and collaborate effectively across teams and functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Forms, and SharePoint
Preferred
- HR or benefits certification (CBP, PHR, SHRMCP)
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday (list any particular schedule). Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
PAY RANGE
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on geographic work location, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, security clearance, and contract requirements. Geographic salary ranges are determined in accordance with the company's compensation practices and represent a good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting.
