What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse Practitioner position at Sprenger Wellspring Silver Maple?
Qualifications: Must have an active Registered Nurse license, be a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), and either have a valid Prescriptive Authority or be eligible for the Certificate to Prescribe Externship (CTP-E). Prior wound care management experience and wound care certification is preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform initial and follow-up patient visits as appropriate.
- Round on identified residents needing wound care consultation
- Consult appropriate physicians in cases where additional input may be needed to determine diagnosis and/or treatment of a patient.
- Order and interpret labs, x-rays, or other diagnostic testing as appropriate for patients.
- Prescribe clinically appropriate medication for patients (subject to having your Certificate to Prescribe, DEA number, or CTP-E).
