What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chauffeur/School-Age Tutor position at Spreading Childcare?
Here at Spreading Childcare, we are looking for a driver, who has their valid Chauffeur's License , and is available from 7 A.M. - 9 A.M. and from 2:30 P.M. - 6:00 P.M during the school year. During the summer, we need 9am-5pm availability.
Applicant must be able to pass a background check, finger-printed, first-aid certified, less than 6 points on driving record, have a valid Chauffeur License, and have experience with children.
Pay varies based on education and experience level.

As a Child Care Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting children to and from school and various activities while ensuring their well-being during transit. You will utilize your core skills in driving, communication, and experience with children to create a positive and secure environment. Your premium skills in driving, along with relevant abilities in childcare and customer service, will be essential in fostering a supportive atmosphere for young passengers. Responsibilities
- Safely transport children to and from school and related activities while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle, performing routine inspections (Pre and Post Trip) and addressing minor repairs as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding schedules and any concerns.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during transit, providing assistance as necessary.
- Uphold a positive and supportive environment for children, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to foster trust and communication.
- Produce and Maintain Transportation logs and records.
