Painting Technician Apprentice

Spray-Net Knoxville is looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to join our production crew and learn a specialized trade in cabinet refinishing and exterior coatings.

You don't need to be an experienced painter—we'll teach you our proprietary processes and equipment. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
What You'll Do
Working alongside our experienced production team, you'll help prepare and complete high-quality residential projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare cabinets and exterior surfaces for finishing.
- Mask and protect floors, countertops, windows, and surrounding areas.
- Sand, clean, and prepare surfaces.
- Assist with cabinet removal and reinstallation.
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
- Set up and maintain clean, organized job sites.
- Assist painters during spraying and finishing operations.
- Clean equipment and maintain company vehicles and tools.
- Learn Spray-Net's specialized finishing systems and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Basic experience using common hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working on ladders and around residential job sites.
- Basic preparation experience such as masking, protecting surfaces, sanding, or general remodeling work.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Reliable transportation to our shop each morning.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Professional painting experience is not required.
Experience in remodeling, carpentry, construction, cabinetry, flooring, landscaping, maintenance, or similar trades is a plus.
