- Participate in training on energy markets, pricing, logistics, as well as formal sales training.
- Shadow Account Executives during customer meetings, prospecting calls, and site visits.
- Support the sales team with research, data entry, CRM updates, and preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Assist with the application and onboarding process for new accounts.
- Learn internal systems including pricing tools, billing workflows, delivery coordination, and credit processes.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.
Progressive Responsibilities
- Conduct supervised prospecting through cold calls, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, escalating issues to senior staff as needed.
- Support troubleshooting of pricing, billing, delivery, and service questions.
- Demonstrate increasing independence in managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:
- Strong interest in sales, business development, or account management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn complex products and markets.
- Ability to build rapport, work collaboratively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with technology, including MS Office; willingness to learn CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for customer visits and training.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in inside sales or a client-facing role.
- Exposure to commercial real estate, transportation, industrial operations, or energy-related fields.
- Demonstrated success in roles requiring persistence, relationship-building, or problem-solving.
