Our dynamic, rapidly-growing insurance defense litigation firm headquartered in Houston, TX, seeks an Associate Trial Attorney in the Waco/McLennan County area. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation (three years preferred), but all bar candidates with the motivation to learn and ability to handle a trial docket are encouraged to apply. We seek applicants best described as follows:
- Positive attitude, litigation prowess, and a genuine desire to try cases.
- Ability to manage a full caseload in a face-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the desire to handle all aspects of cases from intake through disposition.
- Ability to handle daily court proceedings, motions practice, filings, and ongoing casework.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent self-awareness and mastery of "soft skills."
- Skilled at interpreting social cues from judges, opposing counsel, and clients.
- Able to independently address any issues that arise during a case.
- Coachable and self-reflective with a commitment to achieving the best results in a client-focused practice.
- Ability to confidently yet humbly win over clients and juries in the litigation environment.
- Exceptionally skilled at written and oral communication.
