Our Apartment Leasing Assistant assists the Apartment Property Manager in the day-to-day leasing operations of the property, including finding and placing qualified residents while helping to ensure the property maintains a high visual curb-appeal. They work with other amazing members of our management team to provide exceptional customer service, resolve all management related issues, and guarantee all aspects of our services are conducted in accordance with company standards and all applicable rules and regulations. Assist prospective residents with inquires, schedule and conduct tours, assist with applications, and leasing options.

REPORTS TO: APARTMENT PROPERTY MANAGER

Essential Responsibilities for the Role Include:

· Draft applicant decision letters, prepare documents, and move-in packets.

· Maintains accurate records and documents through property management software.

· Conducts communications with residents and prospects by phone, email, and text.

· Ensures complex is running in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing Laws, and Federal, State, and Local laws.

· Following up on leads, advertising, and showings with perspective residents.

· Assists in the physical appearance of the property through minor grounds upkeep and common-area cleaning.

· Perform pre-move-in inspections and post move-out inspections as needed.

· Assist with community events as needed.

· Assists with marketing photos and videos as needed.

· Participates in mandatory trainings and meetings.

· Provides feedback for continuous improvement of procedures and processes.

Skills and Key Attributes:

· Excellent business and interpersonal communications skills, both written and oral, are required to interact with prospective residents, vendors, and staff.

· Detail-oriented and well organized.

· Outstanding time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

· Ability to act and operate with guidance and direction from the property manager.

· Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.

Required Education and Experience:

· Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).

· Valid drivers’ license along with reliable transportation, good driving record, and active auto insurance (required).

· Strong understanding of Landlord/Tenant laws that apply to leasing and property management, such as Fair Housing Laws, Texas Property Code, HUD rules and regulations, and other Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

· High school diploma

· Familiarity with TAA lease documents and addendums

· Experience using Rent Manager software

Additional Requirements

· Valid drivers’ license

· Pass a motor vehicle, credit, and criminal background check

· Pass a drug screening

  • The working environment is typically in an office setting; leasing professionals may occasionally need to leave the premises for business purposes.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally drive an automobile in order to run office-related errands or to attend off-site meetings.
  • Requires the use of a telephone, fax machine, computer, printer, calculator, copy machine, and other typical office equipment.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
