We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Content Creator to develop engaging social media content for Spotlight and LEAP events. This role requires a balance of artistic skill, technical ability, and collaborative spirit. The ideal candidate excels at producing eye-catching videos, graphics, and copy that resonate with audiences, while also supporting merchandise sales during peak times. Position Overview
The Content Creator is responsible for producing, publishing, and managing compelling content across social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and others. This role supports brand awareness, audience engagement, and attendee satisfaction through innovative visuals, video editing, and thoughtful messaging. The position also includes cross-training with the boutique sales team to provide customer support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Travel is required during our event season (January–July), and team members must reside within reasonable proximity to a U.S. international airport or hub to accommodate frequent travel.
On average, the role involves attending approximately 6–10 regional events each year, typically lasting 3–5 days, with the possibility of 1–2 national events lasting 6–8 days.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, setting up equipment, and working in a variety of environments, such as event venues, hotels, and stages. Staff members must also be comfortable sharing hotel accommodations with same-gender colleagues during event assignments.
Mock Training: All new/first year event staff are required to attend an audition and training session in Eagle, Idaho (Typically hosted January 5th–9th). Spotlight provides flights, transport, lodging, and meals. Travel may occur one day before or after the scheduled dates.

- Create high-quality photos, videos, graphics, and captions for social channels
- Develop content that aligns with brand voice and enhances event visibility
- Use tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Splice, or similar platforms for editing
- Plan, film, and edit short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, behind-the-scenes, highlights)
- Capture promotional footage, product highlights, and interviews
- Maintain a posting schedule and content calendar to ensure timely updates
- Stay current on platform trends, algorithms, and best practices
- Respond to comments and messages, fostering authentic connections with the audience
- Monitor performance data to adjust strategies and improve engagement
- Partner with the marketing team and event staff to align content with company goals
- Crosstrain with sales associates to aid during peak times, including transactions, inventory, and maintaining a visually appealing display
- Prior experience in technical support, live production, or event AV setups
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field (Preferred)
- Demonstrated success producing social media content for brands or live events (Preferred)
- Experience with analytics tools to guide content decisions
- 1–3 years of experience in social media content creation, marketing, or related fields
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro), graphic design tools (Photoshop, Canva), and videography
- Photography skills and knowledge of dance or performing arts (Preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging captions and storytelling
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities
- Creative eye for design and attention to detail
- Passion for connecting with audiences through meaningful digital content
