As a part of the Artist & Label Partnerships team you’ll work with key labels, artists and managers to build and implement impactful initiatives focused on supporting Indie partners. You will work closely with the North American team on local critical initiatives as well as your international counterparts on global campaigns. You will also demonstrate this relationship to further Spotify’s marketing and partnership initiatives to the mutual benefit of Spotify and its industry partners.

For the Manager, Artist & Label Partnerships role on the US Indies team we seek an outstanding candidate who is a hardworking music fan and shown leader with experience building and maintaining partner relationships, with an ability to multi-task and build, lead and implement sophisticated campaigns.

What You'll Do

  • Represent Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships department externally, attending meetings with the industry, including label partners, managers and artists to find opportunities and cultivate partnerships.
  • Supervise, review, and evaluate artist and label priorities, as well as culturally relevant moments, and identify in collaboration with a cross-functional team those artists that Spotify will support in on and off platform promotions.
  • Work directly with the artists, their label and their management teams to gather insights and develop executive-level priority campaigns, from brief development, conception, production all the way through execution, analysis and recap.
  • Develop relationships, collaborate and advocate with internal partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on industry education, with an expectation of speaking on behalf of Spotify at key industry events both online and in-person.
  • Lead and / or mentor members of the team, guiding them through campaign planning, relationship building, and cross-functional process execution.
  • Advise internal product development and company strategy through the lens of an independent artist or label, advocating for this sector of the industry both internally and externally.

Who You Are

  • You have 5 years of experience building global marketing campaigns or sophisticated project management and a shown leader able to lead multiple top priority projects simultaneously.
  • You are a hardworking music fan who is in tune to various genres and cultures of music.
  • Understanding of the music industry and experience including label and/or management.
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and current trends and innovations with strong relationships throughout the industry.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of the independent label sector and key players in the industry, with the ability to identify growth areas and difficulties across this space.
  • You have an exceptional ability to build and manage relationships.
  • You are an open, visible and clear communicator.
  • You are well organized and strive for operational excellence with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines and pay exceptional attention to detail.
  • You are comfortable in very fast paced, driven work environments and grow with a team that moves quickly.
  • An optimistic-minded, self-starter with a bold demeanor and curiosity about problem solving.
  • Able to easily adapt and learn new abilities as circumstances require.
  • Willingness to travel and participate in night and weekend events.
  • Located in NYC or Los Angeles, or willing to relocate to one of those cities.
