Production Technician III

Spot Zero is the industry-leading manufacturer of onboard dock and seawater reverse osmosis systems. From personal pleasure crafts to the world’s finest mega yachts, we develop reverse osmosis systems to meet and exceed customer expectations. Spot Zero is a rapidly growing water purification company in the yachting industry, located in Fort Lauderdale. We are currently looking to add a Production Technician to our team. As the Production Technician, you will be building, repairing, and troubleshooting water purification equipment/systems for the marine yachting industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, team mentality, and is proficient in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role reports directly to the General Manager.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for building water purification equipment/systems following our quality standards and procedures
• Test the water purification equipment/system and ensure it meets company guidelines
• Complete builds in a timely fashion meeting specification
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Other related duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment
• Capacity to work in a team environment and independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work onboard yachts, confined spaces and hot/humid environments
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical or the ability to learn is a plus and preferred
  
  

Required Education

• Minimum high school diploma
  
  

Job Requirements

• Warehouse Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
• Must be able to lift and bend frequently; must be able to routinely lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance; capable of working in indoor and outdoor settings
