We are hiring a Solid Waste Engineer to support the planning, design, permitting, and construction oversight of solid waste and civil infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a civil engineer ready to step into greater project responsibility, technical depth, and client exposure.

You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers on the design and development of landfills, transfer stations, recycling facilities, stormwater systems, leachate management, and other waste-related infrastructure. Responsibilities

* Design solid waste facilities such as landfills, transfer stations, composting sites, scale facilities, and holding ponds

* Prepare drawings, plans, and specifications compliant with federal, state, and local regulations

* Develop engineering reports for waste management systems and operational processes

* Perform design calculations for stormwater systems, leachate collection, roadways, grading, and other civil components

* Conduct 3D modeling and civil site design using AutoCAD Civil 3D

* Perform engineering calculations for system sizing, layout, and site development

* Support permitting, construction oversight, field investigations, and client communications

* Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers throughout all project phases

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline required)

* 4 years of engineering experience (Solid Waste Engineering or consulting experience preferred)

* AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency required

* EI/EIT certification required, or ability to obtain within 6 months; PE preferred

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

* Strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and attention to detail

* Excellent work ethic and strong understanding of engineering fundamentals

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
