About The Role:
The Business Communications Analyst will work directly with Spot’s Manager of Customer Growth & Analysis and members of the Finance & Data Analytics team (“F&DA Team”) to support strategic sales initiatives and develop presentation materials. The team sits at the intersection of sales, finance, marketing, and executive leadership, developing customer-facing materials with the goals of (i) winning new business, (ii) increasing net retention of existing blue-chip accounts, and (iii) identifying sales growth opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Ultimately, success in this role will be achieved through elevating Spot’s capabilities & presence with customers, driving sales growth and new wins.

Core Responsibilities:
- Presentation Creation & Delivery:
- Work with the Manager of Customer Growth & Analysis to build well-structured, visually effective presentations in PowerPoint that highlight key insights, recommendations, and strategic messaging.
- Take ownership of presentation materials and consistently drive to completion on required timelines.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Design teams to ensure presentations meet brand and quality standards before delivery to customers and/or senior leadership.
- Customer Analysis & Insights:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret freight, customer, and market data to analyze trends, risks, and business opportunities.
- Translate complex data analysis into impactful presentation materials.
- Create executive-level materials with the help of the F&DA team for customer meetings, QBRs, and strategic planning sessions.
- Collaboration & Project Management:
- Serve as a key partner to Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to align on presentation priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Manage timelines and ensure completion of materials by set deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for automation and/or efficiency improvement in overall process and workflows, including within PowerPoint and other applications.
- Build, maintain, and improve Excel-based tools and reporting templates to support presentations process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Marketing, Informatics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in analytics, consulting, project management, or customer-facing operations role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in SQL (SSMS) a plus.
- Experience in freight, logistics, or transportation preferred.
- Candidates with advanced experience may be considered for a senior-level analyst position.
