Description: SportsMED is seeking a Medical Insurance Specialist with experience in denials from EOB's, and following up with insurance companies on claims. Candidate must be detail-oriented, focused, and have a knowledge of the revenue process. Interviews to being immediately. 2 years of medical insurance experience is preferred. Orthopaedic coding experience is also preferred
Duties:
- Assisting patients in obtaining and understanding medical benefits
- Working AR
- Communication with medical insurance companies
- Communication with clinical staff members
- Updating EMR system
- Reviewing patient records
Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience working in the medical field
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Strong communication skills
