What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Sportsfield Specialties?
Sportsfield Specialties is seeking a hands-on Painter to join our production team at our NY2 location in Delhi, NY. This role will be scheduled for the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible with scheduling, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Candidate must be willing to train on the 1st shift schedule before transitioning to the 2nd shift schedule.

- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain and operate powder coat equipment and spray booth as needed.
- Enter accurate data into production ERP system.
- Sand, polish, wash, dry and apply powder coat to products specifications.
- Operate ovens and measure/monitor temperatures per product specifications.
- Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes to move paint carts and supplies.
- Maintain proper respirator care/operation.
- Weigh paint for accurate costing.
- Become efficient with painting techniques to meet quality and efficiency needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment, manage your time and be self-motivated.
- Ability to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to use and operate power tools, ladders, and warehouse equipment safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Monday - Thursday: 2:30pm to 1:00am (10-hour shift).
