Maintenance Worker

Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, experienced Maintenance person who can work independently and/or with others. Must be reliable and skilled to perform various repairs throughout the facility.

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:

· Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Troubleshooting issues for repairs, preventative maintenance.

· Performs general manufacturing maintenance to include but not limited to repairing building fixtures, industrial equipment, vehicles, electrical and assist with inspections, etc.

· Plan repair work using building blueprints and/or equipment manual as needed.

· Work with Senior Maintenance on the installation of new equipment.

· Operate and maintain company equipment.

· Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance repairs.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Skills:

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities.

· Knowledge of general construction, electrical, mechanics, and HVAC Systems.

· Ability to use hand tools and power tools, including basic fabrications.

· Ability to operate forklift and any other manufacturing equipment.

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment.

· Ability to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner in a deadline-driven environment.

· Strong communication skills and reporting.

· Basic computer skills.

Experience/Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree in maintenance related field a plus.

· Experience with electric; hydraulics; pneumatics and controls; power/hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.

· Experience with electrical schematics and blueprint reading.

· Manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

· Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

· Frequent lift, push/pull, and carry anywhere up to 50lbs periodically and occasionally above shoulder.

· Ability to work in various manufacturing environments, which may include extreme temperatures or loud noises.
