Inside Sales Specialist
Sportsfield Specialties is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Specialist for its New Construction Division to assist with and provide coverage of duties for Inside Sales representatives where needed and/or when out of office for leave of absence, vacation, and/or sick leave.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and track multiple bidding projects while ensuring consistent customer contact and project profitability.
- Work with the Regional Sales Manager to determine project pricing and how to secure projects in line with margin targets.
- Collaborate with Outside Sales, Contractors, and/or End-User, responding to all inquiries in a timely/accurate manner.
- Conduct project material take-offs for quoting development by utilizing plan room platforms for project design plans and specifications, and potential project bidder and/or award information.
- Communicate with Engineering for costing of custom items and/or Purchasing/Vendors for cost of vendor items.
- Quote associated freight costs accurately.
- Perform data entry to reflect project and production requirements as required by project designer/customer.
- Input required CRM data in ERP system at the quote level to track company project win and close percentages.
- Effectively share project leads with other internal sales regions/divisions.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, including a working understanding of product installation, basic site construction, and a basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the associated sport or event.
- Address and follow through project issues with clients as they arise to provide the best possible customer satisfaction experience.
- Collaborate/communicate with departments below to follow up as necessary w/contractor representative(s).
- Finance - establish customer credit,
- Engineering - costing, submittal, and final product information,
- Purchasing - vendor orders,
- Production - lead times and
- Shipping - ensure accuracy of shipments and packaging details.
- Travel as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:
- Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining customer focus.
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to complete tasks in an efficient/successful manner in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Inquisitive nature encouraged.
Experience/Education:
- 4 years of progressive Sales/Customer Service experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
Starting Salary: $65K/annually, the starting salary represents the minimum range for the position. The actual salary will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications and internal equity. The starting salary reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
