Overview
Sports Medicine Associates is seeking a motivated and mature individual to join their team as a full-time veterinary technician. The job entails assisting our doctors with a variety of examinations and procedures at the clinic and on the farm. Other job responsibilities will include daily cleaning, stocking vehicles, uploading images, light office work, and other tasks assigned as necessary. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great group of dedicated veterinarians, staff, and clientele. Applicants must be comfortable handling and restraining horses, however no previous veterinary technical experience is required. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Assist with routine laboratory test submissions, including blood work.
- Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during procedures.
Experience
Candidates should have a background that includes:
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and principles.
- Exposure to equine care or handling is a plus.
- Proficiency in animal physiology to assist with patient assessments.
- Strong skills in animal restraint techniques for safe handling during examinations or treatments.
