This position involves P&L forecasting responsibilities and the development of financial and operational models to enable thorough analysis. The Analyst will collaborate closely with the finance team and cross-functional departments, offering a meaningful opportunity to influence various aspects of our business. Major Accountabilities / Essential Duties
- Budget Management: Lead the budget and forecast processes for designated areas, analyzing monthly variances and trends in relation to key performance indicators and financial results. Communicate findings and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a strategic business partner to various departments, adding value through financial insights and process optimization.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing processes and efficiencies. Develop adaptable financial models and reports that clearly present findings and assumptions.
- Market Awareness: Maintain a current understanding of business and market conditions through open communication with the FP&A team and other cross-functional partners.
- Data Integrity: Ensure understanding of underlying data and maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Forecast Modeling: Proficiency in modeling forecasts within planning systems; experience with Vena or other similar financial planning and analysis tools is preferred.
- Data-Driven Skills: Demonstrated expertise in finance and accounting with a proven track record of leveraging data to drive results. Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities are essential.
- Actionable Insight Delivery: Ability to analyze financial and operational indicators and translate complex data into actionable insights, presenting ideas clearly to senior business partners.
- Relationship Building: Ability to forge constructive relationships with a diverse group of business partners, quickly learn business intricacies, and apply insights in analyses.
- Curiosity and Detail Orientation: A strong desire to explore details and effectively communicate the results of analyses.
- Work Ethic: A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for collaboration, combined with the capability to work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to meet tight deadlines, with an emphasis on detail orientation.
- Process Improvement Mindset: Enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth through process enhancement and simplification.
- Adaptability: Comfort in navigating ambiguous environments that evolve based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
- 3-5 years of relevant FP&A experience, preferably in manufacturing or retail.
- Experience executing cross-functional forecast and budget processes.
- Extensive modeling experience.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex concepts clearly (written, verbal, and presentations).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, SAP, Vena or other financial planning tools is preferred.
