Custom Graphic Designer - Screen Print Apparel

Description

We’re looking for someone who can come in and make an immediate impact with our custom graphic design team. The ideal candidate will be imaginative and able to create a range of customized high quality apparel concepts to wow our B2B customers. 

Prior experience in screen print design is required. *Portfolio of recent work must be submitted for consideration* (please ensure portfolio link is active and working to be considered)

This role reports to and works in conjunction with the Director of Creative Services to ensure the quality, integrity, and execution of custom graphic design projects. To succeed in this role, you will be able to recreate logos and other designs in vector format from rasterized source images and work across the entire design process, including but not limited to conceptualizing from a design brief, creation of several viable options, gathering feedback, performing revisions, and producing production ready art files of approved designs. 

Our HQ is based out of Tempe, AZ. Candidates working within the Phoenix, Metro area have the option of a hybrid schedule. Out-of-state applicants will be fully remote with expected travel to HQ 1-3 times per year. 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• Produce custom artwork and regular art requests developing from thumbnail sketches all the way through final execution.
• Create apparel graphics for some of the biggest brands in the country focusing mainly on our corporate, entertainment, and destination lifestyle brands.
• Deliver awesome artwork that makes customers want to come back again and again.
• Ensure art requests are facilitated on time and kicked out with great quality, communicating on status updates, and driving new levels of performance, efficiency and quality for the team.
• Elevate design of the products by conducting brand research and playing with concepts and ideas.

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE FOR THE TEAM

• You have 2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in an apparel company with a strong brand ethos. Prior experience in screen printing is required.
• You have a strong visual sense and your own unique style. Illustration skills are preferred.
• High proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop with strong typography Skills.
• You have experience with the custom design process to be able to execute screen print ready designs.
• You can work independently with high output balancing multiple projects at a time while still engaging with the team.
• You are innovative and pride yourself on being up to date on current trends, creating with confidence, and raising the bar for the Creative Department.
• You can balance creativity with organization and time management to be able to nimbly react to change requests and new orders without sacrificing quality.
• You seek out feedback and input from others using it to grow as a designer and deliver the best possible outcome for clients.
