The Youth Soccer Marketing Associate will gain hands-on experience performing a variety of roles within a fast-paced, behind-the-scenes environment, with the chance to have a direct impact on youth soccer in Kansas City.

A key focus for this role will be capturing and creating engaging photo and video content that showcases Sporting Kansas City's youth programs, players, coaches, events, and experiences across digital and social platforms. Additionally, this role will support competitive club Sporting City in its social media and digital efforts.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Assist the Youth Sports Marketing Manager in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for youth programs, including camps, clinics, seasonal tournaments, leagues, and Sporting City.
• Capture photo and video content at youth soccer camps, leagues, tournaments, events, and other activities for use across social media, email, website, and other marketing channels for Sporting Kansas City Youth Soccer and Sporting City.
• Help create engaging marketing materials, such as flyers, social media graphics, and email newsletters.
• Manage social media content related to youth programs, including scheduling posts and interacting with the community.
• Support the organization of promotional events and outreach activities to increase participation in youth programs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze campaign performance metrics and provide insights for improvement.
• Assist with the maintenance of youth soccer websites, ensuring information is up-to-date and engaging.

Skills and Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Digital Media, Journalism or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Professional experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) is preferred.
• Experience creating graphics for social media using graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud & Slate) is preferred.
• Experience with photography, videography and photo/video editing is strongly preferred.
• Experience shooting with DSLR or mirrorless cameras is preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar photo/video editing software is preferred.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Passion for soccer and youth sports development.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience with a sports team or in youth sports is not required, but experience with youth sports landscape is preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language to engage with fans, guests, partners, and other Sporting Kansas City associates.

Work Environment and Schedule

Availability for home matches, selected events, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required as business needs dictate. Travel may be required. Work occurs in office, stadium, and event settings, including outdoors. Essential responsibilities must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
