Essential Functions
- Assist Legal team with drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research on employment law, compliance, intellectual property, sponsorships, and league regulations.
- Support maintenance of legal files and contract databases.
- Observe, and as appropriate support, negotiations, risk assessments, or compliance-related meetings.
- Provide administrative assistance, including organizing documents and updating legal records.
- Attend and contribute to internal legal meetings and briefings.
- Perform additional legal or project-based tasks as assigned.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise independent judgment.
- Discretion, attention to detail, and professionalism in handling sensitive legal matters.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative attitude.
- Interest in sports law, governance, and professional sports operations.
- Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school (1L, 2L, or 3L).
- Eligible to earn academic credit for the internship.
- Coursework or demonstrated interest in contract law, compliance, or related legal disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis) preferred.
- Unpaid position; can be taken for school credit.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate law school course load.
