Job Summary
Sportech offers qualified supply chain and business students a real-world experience working in a dynamic program designed to enhance academic learning, professional growth, and personal development. Students will be actively involved in sourcing activities that support Sportech’s product launches, gaining foundational exposure to supplier interactions, material procurement, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Operations teams. This internship provides hands-on experience with sourcing processes, supplier communication, and data analysis while contributing to meaningful projects that support Sportech’s operational and strategic goals.
Essential Job Functions
- Support new product development teams in procuring materials needed for new product launch activities.
- Assist in supplier selection for new products and gathering supplier information.
- Help coordinate with internal cross-functional partners to ensure project timelines, cost objectives, and quality expectations are understood.
- Assist with obtaining and organizing supplier quotes and documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm product details including pricing, part numbers, availability, and expected delivery dates (with close guidance).
- Assist in expediting orders and resolving basic order discrepancies.
- Help gather and update product specifications, design changes, and revision details for supplier distribution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities by helping identify potential supplier process efficiencies.
- Assist with preparing simple reports and data summaries related to sourcing and supplier performance.
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with various internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from experienced team members.
- Demonstrated integrity and high ethical standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel required).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus.
- Participant must hold Junior or Senior standing.
- Participant must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
