The Opportunity
Sport Ortho Urgent Care is currently seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced orthopedic environment, delivering high-quality imaging services while collaborating closely with providers and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-directed, and passionate about patient care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician protocols and industry standards
- Ensure patient safety by properly screening for contraindications and providing clear instructions
- Position patients accurately and operate MRI equipment for optimal imaging
- Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any issues
- Perform routine quality control checks and report equipment concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional MRI suite
- Accurately document all procedures in the EMR system
- Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies and procedures
- If licensed, assist with X-ray imaging following safety and positioning protocols
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to support workflow
Qualifications:
- Active ARRT (MRI) Certification (Required)
- Tennessee Medical X-Ray Operator License (Preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program
- Current BLS Certification
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal imaging and MRI safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and patient care skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, walk-in orthopedic setting
Schedule & Location:
- Hours will vary based on clinic needs and patient volume
