Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and alignment adjustments to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components with precision.
- Repair or replace automotive electrical systems, sensors, wiring harnesses, and other electronic components following manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems effectively.
- Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings clearly to customers and ensure high-quality automotive service experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or automotive service technician experience with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology, schematics reading, automotive diagnostics, and electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or diesel engines is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including powertrain components, transmissions, alignments, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
