What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist or Athletic Trainer – Onsite Workplace Care position at Spooner?
Take Your Expertise Beyond the Clinic
What if you could use your skills as a physical therapist or athletic trainer to help people move and feel better right where they work?
At Spooner, we're expanding the ways we deliver musculoskeletal care through our Direct-to-Employer (D2E) program. By bringing clinical services directly into the workplace, we help employees access care, address musculoskeletal concerns, and receive individualized support in the environment where they spend much of their day.
We're looking for a Physical Therapist or Athletic Trainer to join our D2E team, working onsite with firefighters.
This is an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a different setting, build relationships with the employees you serve, and help people stay active in their work and everyday lives.
What You'll Do
As part of Spooner's Direct-to-Employer team, you'll bring your clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills directly into the workplace.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing onsite musculoskeletal assessments, care, and consultation for employees.
- Helping employees address musculoskeletal concerns through individualized interventions and education.
- Identifying movement-related and workplace factors that may contribute to musculoskeletal discomfort.
- Educating employees on movement, body mechanics, and strategies to support musculoskeletal health.
- Collaborating with Spooner's D2E team and employer partners to support employee health and workplace wellness.
- Documenting services and communicating appropriately with relevant care team members.
You'll have the opportunity to apply your clinical skills in an environment that differs from traditional outpatient care while remaining connected to Spooner's broader clinical team.
