Materials Management Clerk - Casual

The Materials Management Clerk is responsible for clerical tasks, inventory control, ordering, receiving, stocking, and assisting with the delivery of materials and supplies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in typing, 10-ky keyboard/calculator for data entry and record keeping.
  • Compose accurate business correspondence related to purchasing.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for purchasing and inventory documentation.
  • Assist with ordering, stocking & rotating merchandise stock items as needed.
  • Review expired products and remove them from the shelves as needed.
  • Match packing slips with delivered products and ensure the accuracy of items received.
  • Enter inventory data (e.g., lot/serial numbers, expiration dates) into the system.
  • Identify chargeable items to be delivered to patient care areas.
  • Fill and deliver requisitions from each department as requested.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics GP for creating and editing purchase orders and processing invoices.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with staff, patients, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure efficient inventory and supply management.
  • Follow safety protocols and report any safety hazards or concerns.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other compliance standards.
