Duties
- Operate laundry equipment efficiently to wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and clothing items.
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned according to safety and hygiene standards.
- Sort laundry by color, fabric type, or level of soil to optimize washing processes.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with dry cleaning tasks as needed for special garments or items requiring delicate handling.
- Follow proper procedures for handling soiled linens to prevent contamination.
- Support inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors when replenishment is needed.
Skills
- Experience with laundry operations, including use of commercial washing and drying machines.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards applicable in healthcare or hospitality settings.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous for understanding service standards.
