Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino is seeking an Assistant Director of Beverage Operations who will elevate guest experience, drive financial results, and uphold high operational standards throughout the resort. This senior-level leader will bring extensive beverage operations knowledge, solid financial acumen, and the ability to lead large, diverse teams in a high-energy, fast-paced setting.
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Assistant Director of Beverage Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic execution and operational performance of Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino’s multi-outlet beverage program. As the property’s beverage operations expert, this leader supports and advises the Director of Food & Beverage while overseeing all bar, service bar, casino floor beverage service, and event beverage operations across a high-volume environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee beverage operations across all outlets including casino bars, service bars, floor service, and banquet/event beverage service to ensure consistent, efficient, and guest-oriented execution.
- Drive financial performance by managing budgets, labor planning, beverage cost, inventory, and pour accuracy with an emphasis on operational discipline and profitability.
- Develop and elevate beverage leadership teams, providing coaching, expectations, and performance management for Managers, Supervisors, and key frontline leaders.
- Champion exceptional guest experiences by upholding service standards, resolving escalated concerns, and using guest feedback to refine beverage offerings and service delivery.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and internal controls in accordance with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission requirements, Washington State liquor laws, and all health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with F&B leadership and cross-functional teams to support beverage strategy, optimize processes, strengthen controls, and advance departmental priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; At least seven (7) years of progressive beverage operations experience in a casino, resort, or multi-outlet hospitality environment. Three (3) to Five (5) years in a senior-level beverage leadership role, overseeing multiple outlets or large-scale beverage operations. Demonstrated success in leading teams, improving operations, and achieving financial targets in a high-volume setting. A combination of education and extensive relevant Beverage leadership experience may be considered.
Knowledge & Expertise
- Comprehensive understanding of beverage operations, mixology standards, service protocols, and industry trends.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including forecasting, cost of goods management, labor oversight, and inventory control.
- Experience with procurement and beverage systems such as Stratton Warren, BirchStreet, Berg, POS platforms, and related operational technology.
- Ability to strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency across diverse outlets.
