Duties
- Operate machinery such as saws, routers, and machining tools to cut, shape, and assemble millwork components with accuracy.
- Use hand tools and power tools to fabricate, assemble, and finish wood products according to specifications.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse or manufacturing floor, ensuring proper storage and transportation of raw materials and finished goods.
- Assist in the assembly of custom millwork pieces, ensuring alignment and quality standards are met throughout the process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the shop floor.
- Follow detailed blueprints and technical drawings to produce precise components for various projects.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed to move heavy or bulky items safely around the facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing, carpentry, or warehouse environments with a focus on millwork or related fields.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, drills, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with power tools used in fabrication and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics accurately.
- Prior experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is preferred; certification is a plus.
