We are seeking a technically capable and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support our growing business. This role is critical in managing inbound inquiries, supporting customers, and working closely with outside sales and manufacturer’s representatives to deliver accurate, timely quotations and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary inside contact for inbound sales inquiries via email and phone
- Qualify customer needs and provide technical product guidance and support
- Prepare detailed quotations for standard and custom-configured products based on customer requirements
- Support outside sales efforts and manufacturer’s reps with quoting, follow-ups, and opportunity tracking
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposals
- Maintain and update company systems with customer interactions, quotes, and project details
- Follow up on open quotations and assist in converting opportunities into orders
- Support the sales process with lead generation through outreach efforts
- Assist in resolving customer questions related to product selection, specifications, and order status
- Develop a strong understanding of Spohn Burkhardt products and applications across key industries
- Contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction through responsiveness and attention to detail
Requirements:
- 2 years of inside sales, applications engineering, or technical customer support experience (industrial or electrical preferred)
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and interpret product specifications and customer requirements
- Experience and/or ability to read and understand wiring schematics, mechanical drawings and datasheetsÂ
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial controls, joysticks, HMI systems, or related electromechanical products
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with industries such as cranes, steel, material handling, or heavy equipment
